What happens if you don’t switch your mortgage?

If your mortgage reaches the end of a fixed rate or other promotional period, your mortgage will automatically change to the lender’s variable rate.

This could result in your mortgage repayments either increasing, decreasing or possibly staying the same.

You can make unlimited over-payments on your mortgage.

You can pay off your existing mortgage without paying any penalties or early repayment charges.

Health insurance reassessment

If you decide to make changes to your mortgage, it would be advisable to reassess your health insurance policy.
